Eyesight Ophthalmic Services (www.EyesightNH.com) is a busy, privately owned , multi-physician ophthalmic and optometric practice. We work with a private surgical center (www.CoastalSurgicalCenter.com) and we are the ONLY practice in the seacoast region serving all the area seacoast hospitals. Our providers specialize in all areas of eyecare including routine exams and contact lenses, ocular plastic surgery, diabetic eye care, glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery, LASIK surgery (www.ClearAdvantageLaser.com), retina surgery, clinical research, and more!

Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant
Due to the increasingly growing need for skilled technicians in ophthalmology, Eyesight is seeking to fill various Technician positions for each of their 4 locations in Portsmouth, Somersworth, Exeter and Kittery. Trained under both ophthalmologists (MDs) as well as optometrists (ODs) as well as various technician peers, your career in caring for patients begins here!
Your career involves taking medical history, performing various tests and exams, supporting doctors during exams or preparing patients to meet with the doctor. Training including working within our electronic medical record system (EMA/Moderinized Medicine), administering medications and topical treatments, examining and understanding test results and answering patient questions.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people of all ages from pediatric to elderly, be detail oriented and able to obtain and record the necessary information from patients to ensure a safe and healthy eye exam by the doctor, and identifying patient needs to prepare them for their exam or upcoming procedure.

Communication Representative / Patient Liaison
The most important person in any organization is the FIRST person a patient speaks to – that could be YOU! Our communications department is looking to expand its team. This isn’t a “call center”, it is the first individual all incoming patients, referring doctors and medical staff speak with when contacting us. This may mean via phone, text messages and/or email.
Your career starts with understanding the types of care we specialize in, which could range from cataract surgery, routine eyecare, oculoplastic surgery, diabetic exams, emergency surgery and eyeglasses or contact lenses. You will work with patients in understanding their needs so you can better direct their call or schedule them with the appropriate MD / OD / Counselor. Having patience and compassion are key as you are dealing with various types of individual needs throughout the day. We offer a strong support group of staff and doctors who will support you.

Surgical Counselor
If you enjoy working with people, and feel a sense of accomplishment when you help individuals make the best decision possible for their vision needs after surgery, then this is the perfect job for you! Extensive training will be offered on performing diagnostic testing specific to your role in surgery services. Duties: Educate and counsel patients on vision correction procedures and options, facilitate conversions to Lifestyle lens upgrades, perform hands on diagnostic testing and work with surgical coordinating staff and doctors preparing patients for evaluations.
